About Us

Designed to bring the community of natural gas and oil professionals in the Haynesville Shale together in the spirit of sportsmanship and charitable giving, the two-person Haynesville Shale Bass Tournament began in 2010 and raised $20,000 for Gingerbread House and Cara Center, child abuse advocacy groups located in Shreveport, Louisiana.?? The mission of the tournament is to conduct an industry bass tournament in a fun, family friendly atmosphere that will benefit the Shriners Hospitals for Children dedicated to the betterment of the children in the Haynesville Shale area of East Texas and Northwest Louisiana. ??As a one-day, 150-person event in its first year, the tournament experienced substantial success and has now been expanded to two days and 300 anglers. Each year the Board meets with Shriners Hospitals for Children, a non-profit organizations in the community, that will receive the proceeds from the tournament.
